Ceramicist and maker Gabrielle Cooney is a Cairns-based artist with previous experience in leadlight design, ceramics, silversmithing, photography, and a passion for digital imagery, lightbox, and video production. The Totem of Joy is on a custom-made metal Base and pole with 14 removable ceramic pieces. Inspired by seeds and nuts of the rainforest, The Totem pieces are hand-built and fired in her kiln. The totem can be indoor or outdoor and is a stunning collector’s artwork.
